Guest Post III – Micturating cystourethrogram using trans-perenial ultrasound for Posterior urethral valves

banner-img A 18 months old male child with chief complaint of straining while passing urine, was referred for a KUB ultarsound and voiding cystourethrography. Level II and third trimester ultrasound were reported normal. On ultrasound kidneys were found to be normal, the urinary bladder showed thickened walls. Trans-perenial voiding cystourethrography showed a dilated posterior urethra with linear echogenecities diagnostic of posterior urethral valves.
