The penile Doppler test is a non-invasive test used to evaluate many conditions affecting the penis, including Erectile Dysfunction (ED), plaques (such as those caused by Peyronie’s disease), fibrosis, lumps, tumor, etc. It provides details about the efficiency of the blood flow in and out of your genitals.

What happens during Penile Doppler Test?

During the Penile Doppler ultrasound, you lie on your back. It can be done either after giving Tablet Sildenafil or by injecting a vasodilator into your penile tissue, it relaxes the blood vessels. Once done, the procedure to perform penile Doppler ultrasound begins.

The doctor presses an ultrasound transducer wand along the side of your penis. The transducer sends the ultrasound waves into your genitals and collects their echoes. The computer creates a video with the recorded echo to show the blood flow in and out of your penis. Usually, it takes 30-35 minutes.
