Medical Biochemistry

Jump to Tests

Medical biochemistry or clinical chemistry is a branch of medical science dealing with study of compounds and processes occurring in the human body with efforts to understand chemistry within humans to reach at diagnosis or prevention of disease. Health conditions like diabetes, heart attacks, cystic fibrosis, infertility, thyroid problems, and meningitis etc can be interpreted by examining body fluids, including blood, urine, and CSF biochemically.

Department of Biochemistry has fully automated state-of-the-art equipment -Randox Imola for routine biochemistry, Beckman coulter access-2 & Minividas (Biomerieux) for immuno-assays, D10 (Biorad for HPLC), Prolyte for electrolytes.

The department is managed by a full-time qualified Biochemist who looks after routine and special biochemistry, besides taking care of all quality control procedures. At Nanda Diagnostics, our team regularly participates in the proficiency testing program like EQAS conducted by BIO-RAD, USA, and the internal quality control program (IQC) to maintain the highest standard of work culture.
